GCC tourism officials meet in Doha


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Undersecretaries of GCC tourism ministries and authorities came together in the Qatari capital of Doha on Monday.
Addressing the the meeting, Qatari Tourism Authority Chairman Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi expressed much appreciation for GCC joint work over the past year.
Al-Mohannadi emphasized the discussion of programs that will further the GCC joint work goals in tourism and importance of reactivating joint work between GCC public and private sectors.
He added that to achieve further tourism joint GCC work, it is necessary to identify the challenges and then implement goals that were approved by the ministers during their first meeting in Kuwait.
The meeting will explore ways to increase intra-GCC tourism and review the UAE vision of a future joint project to promote tourism in the GCC region, said Assistant Secretary General of the GCC Cultural and Media Affairs Khaled Al-Ghassani.
