UAE- RAK Ruler receives newly elected FNC Members

RAS AL-KHAIMAH 5th October 2015 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah today received the emirate's newly-elected Federal National Council FNC members.

The elected members were Salem Ali Ahmed Al Shehi Ahmed Yousef Darweesh Al Nuaimi and Na'ema Abdullah Saeed Al Sharhan.

Sheikh Saud congratulated them on their win stressing that the UAE is starting a new democratic and political era which requires the cooperation of FNC Members as well as the need to exert tireless efforts to participate in a positive manner in the development march of the country.

The RAK Ruler hailed the electoral process which involved an interaction among all segments of society. He also pointed out the notable development in the voting process as well as the fact that other segments of society especially elderly people and women also participated in the election.

He also expressed his confidence in the role that the FNC and its newly elected members will play to the advantage of the Emiratis and their homeland. The RAK Ruler also pointed out the role being played by the UAE armed forces who are participating in the Arab coalition to support Yemenis.

On their part the new FNC Members extended their thanks to H.H. Sheikh Saud for his huge support and the confidence he invested in them. They also expressed their happiness and pride at being FNC Members which they said will enable them to shoulder their responsibilities towards their homeland and society.
