Jordan- Gov't plans to assign tourism day at schools, universities

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, on Sunday, instructed the ministries of education, higher education and tourism and antiquities to assign a day to raise awareness on national tourism at schools, colleges and universities across the Kingdom.

Ensour said the move aims at raising awareness among the various segments of the society on best tourism-related practices as tourism is considered a kingpin of the national economy.

Meanwhile, the cabinet approved three soft loan agreements that will be signed with the French Development Agency (AFD).

These agreements come as part of Jordan's efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to increase support to Jordan, either through grants or through increasing the Kingdom's ability to take advantage of international soft loans.
