Qatar- TFQ launches 'Thank Your Teacher' campaign

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Teach For Qatar (TFQ) has launched a 'Thank Your Teacher' social media campaign to mark World Teacher's Day, as a tribute to the great contribution of teachers to the society.

The campaign, which will run throughout October, features young people from various professions in Qatar sending a special message of appreciation to their teachers.

'Thank Your Teacher' was also launched as a platform upon which anyone seeking to acknowledge teachers who have positively impacted their lives can participate, using the hashtag #thank_your_teacher on Twitter and Instagram.

Promoting the value of the teaching profession is one of the fundamental objectives of Teach for Qatar, which seeks to harness all opportunities to acknowledge the crucial role teachers play in society.

Founded by HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad al-Thani, TFQ is a local non-governmental organisation working as part of the solution to help solve some of the challenges Qatar's students face. It does this by reinvesting exceptionally talented leaders into the independent school system through a two-year leadership development and teaching programme.

World Teachers' Day is celebrated in more than 100 countries, including Qatar, since its establishment in 1994.
