World Bank Loans Tunisia $500 Million to Help Tourism Sector


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The World Bank approved a $500 million loan for Tunisia to help finance economic reforms and address the impact of two large terrorist attacks on the country's tourism industry, the bank said Friday.

The World Bank added in the statement they released today to the press that the operation would aid restructuring of state banks and administration as a way to help economic growth.

In related news, Tunisian news agency TAP reported today that The World Bank granted Tunisia on Friday a 178.7 million Euro-loan and a donation worth $909,000 to improve some aspects of its road network.
