Iranian officials call world companies to invest in Tehran

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iran's First Vice President Ishaq Jahangiri called world companies Saturday to invest in his country's various sectors and have a direct communication with Iranian official bodies.
Jahangiri made his remarks in a speech at the Iran Transportation and Urban Development Summit (ITUDS 2015), currently held in the Iranian capital under the banner "Investment Opportunities" with participation of 91 international companies and 300 local firms.
He reiterated his country's willingness to work with foreign companies "with transparency", warning to blacklist any local company that uses non-transparent methods and deals with unknown local mediators instead of Iranian official entities.
The Iranian government seeks to provide its citizens with long lasting job opportunities, increase their economic capacity, and reinstate economic stability in the country, he said.
Currently, security and stability are well-established in Iran, Jahangiri confirmed, adding that his country has enormous potentials that enable it to play an important role in regional stability, in addition to its richness in natural resources, excellent geographic location for transportation and transit, large population and young efficiencies.
The Iranian First Vice President also disclosed that his country's oil ministry is to announce its over USD 10 billion-worth investment projects soon.
Meanwhile, Iranian Road Minister Abbas Akhundi noted, in a speech at the one-day event, that seven international airports are to be built in different parts around the country within the next 10 years.
Akhundi also said that the nuclear deal signed between his country and Group 5+1 last July has marked a new stage in Iran's political relations with the world, adding that Tehran is to witness a prominent chapter of development in various sectors, including transportation.
