Oman- Sectoral indexes weak MSM30 slips 0.12

The benchmark MSM30 index continued on its negative trajectory and lost 0.12 per cent to close Tuesday's session at 5760.85.

The Industrial sub-index dropped 0.29 per cent to close at 7326.830 while the Services gauge closed down 0.23 per cent at 3220.88. The Financial index dropped 0.18 per cent to 6871.32.

The MSM Shariah index closed down 0.29 per cent at 903.37.

The market saw 10.66mn securities exchange hands generating a turnover of RO3.13mn. Market breadth was negative as 16 companies slipped while only five closed up. Twenty securities remained unchanged.

Interest was seen in blue-chip stocks such as Ooredoo and Bank Muscat.

Ominvest (+2.04 per cent) and Oman Flour Mills (+0.83 per cent) were among the top gainers. Bank Muscat Compl Convr B B 3.5 (-4.26 per cent) Al Sharqia Investment Holding (-2.78 per cent) and Oman Cables Industry (-2.63 per cent) were amongst the top laggards for the day.
