Human Rights Council adopts a resolution submitted by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Yemen


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)Geneva Dhu-AlHijjah 18 1436 October 02 2015 SPA -- The Human Rights Council adopted today a resolution submitted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Arab States Group under Article X providing for the provision of technical assistance and the building of capabilities for the promotion of human rights in Yemen welcoming the Yemeni government's formation of the National Committee for Investigation of Human Rights Abuses in Yemen.
The resolution expressed concern about the serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law because of the use of the armed force by the militias of Houthi rebels and deposed Saleh against the government to achieve political goals the continuation of rebellious militias in the recruitment of child soldiers in clear violation of international conventions and treaties the abduction of political activists the arrest of journalists killing of civilians and preventing the arrival of humanitarian aid.
