Kuwaiti figures laud nat'l day celebration at Expo Milan '15


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Several Kuwaiti figures and officials expressed here on Thursday their joy over the celebrations of Kuwaiti national day at Expo Milan 2015 in Italy.
The figures attended the activities of the event dedicated by the Expo's administration to cherish the Kuwait culture, and they gave various statements to KUNA.
Representative of His Highness the Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, in remarks to KUNA, expressed his joy over the Expo's celebrations of the national Kuwaiti day which reflected its deep-rooted history.
The administration of the Expo and the visitors highly praised the distinguished Kuwaiti pavilion which highlighted during the expo the Kuwaiti efforts in facing shortage of resources especially water, he affirmed.
Chairperson of the Kuwaiti Voluntary Work Center Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said that she was proud to Kuwaiti flags hoisted during the event, commending the efforts of young Kuwaitis who were responsible of managing Kuwait's pavilion in the Expo.
This pavilion reflects the patience and struggle of Kuwaiti people in transforming their country from a developing nation into and developed one at all levels and in all fields, said the official, praising the remarkable finance support offered through Kuwait Fund For Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to many countries in the world, which made Kuwait worthy of being a center of humanitarian work worldwide, she added.
Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah told KUNA that Kuwait's television band's folkloric show gained the admiration of the visitors of the pavilion.
He also praised the efforts of Kuwait's Ministry of information and the young Kuwait youth in presenting the best image of the Gulf nation in its national day celebrations.
Kuwait's General Consul in Milan Abdulnasser Bu-Khadour said in remarks to KUNA that the national day at the Expo achieved a resounding success beyond all the expectations, and it was attended by various distinguished political and media figures from Kuwait.
It is a source of pride to hear the Kuwaiti national anthem played at the Expo which is considered among the most important rallies in the world.
Kuwait Ambassador to Paris Sami Al-Marshad in remarks to KUNA expressed his happiness for all the efforts exerted in presenting the Kuwaiti expo in such outstanding image to the world.
He also praised the high turnout of visitors to the Kuwaiti pavilion at the Expo, besides the positive comments they gave in describing the pavilion as an excellent one.
The Ministry of Information's Undersecretary Tareq Al-Mezrem told KUNA that the construction of the Kuwait pavilion at the Expo took four years, while the preparation for Kuwait's national day at the Expo took almost a year.
He praised the efforts exerted by all the governmental and private bodies, as well as the civil society institutions in their contribution of the success of this event.
Civil Service Bureau Undersecretary Mohammed Al-Roumi lauded the remarkable organization of Expo Milan and the Kuwaiti pavilion, which presents the Image of our country in an innovative and beautiful way that reflects the lifestyle of Kuwait from the past till the modern times, and the stages of Kuwait's development in all fields.
General Commissioner of the Kuwait Pavilion at Expo Milan Faisal Al-Mutalaqem told KUNA that this event was arranged by the Expo's administration and was presented and attended by a number of leading political Italian and Kuwaiti political and media figures, with remarkable participation of representatives of governmental and private sector institutions.
Ministry of Finance's undersecretary Musad Hamada said in remarks to KUNA that the participation of Kuwait's pavilion at the Expo is a source of pride as it reflected the Gulf country's message to the world represented in peace and humanitarian work.
Famous Kuwaiti artists Abdulhussain Abdulreda and Hayat Al-Fahad who attended the celebrations told KUNA that all Kuwaitis should serve their country at all times in regional and international arenas.
They praised the distinguished organizing of this event and wished that the Kuwaiti pavilion will achieve a pioneer status among other ones at the Expo.
