(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least 25 militants were killed and several others wounded on Thursday as Pakistan military carried out air strikes targeting militantsآ' hideouts in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan tribal region, said military.
A statement by media wing of Pakistan military said that at least 25 militants were killed in aerial strikes ahead of Datta Khel area near the Pak-Afghan border.
It added that the fighting had intensified in the bordering areas of Shawal, while jets have been pounding militant hideouts in the area for months.
At least five militant hideouts were destroyed in the aerial operation, said reports.
