Qatar- 'Need to tackle root causes of terrorism'


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar has reiterated its commitment to continue working with the global forum for combating terrorism to achieve common goals aimed at eradicating extremism and terrorism.
This came in a statement delivered by HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, the Assistant Foreign Minister for International Co-operation, at the sixth ministerial meeting of the forum, which was held in New York on the sidelines of the 70th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Sheikh Mohamed said that the nature of the fight against terrorism and malicious means used by terrorists to mislead the communities and corruption of youth, require a review of the needs of this confrontation by maintaining their effectiveness, in order to intensify concerted international, regional and national efforts to address its root causes
