Kuwait 'August' Inflation At 3.8%


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Kuwait's statistics office reported the following August consumer price data on Tuesday, showing inflation at its highest since at least April 2012, when the current data series began. Note: Prices of food and beverages, which account for more than 18 percent of the basket, rose 5.6 percent from a year earlier in August and 1.8 percent from the previous month. Housing costs, which account for nearly 29 percent of consumer expenses, jumped 6.5 percent year-on-year but were flat month-on-month.
