(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Tuesday, warned that continued Israeli violations in Al-Haram Al-Sharif threaten to undermine security and stability in the region.
During a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, the King and the Italian prime minister discussed the latest developments in Syria and called for finding a political solution to the crisis in this Arab country.
The meeting dealt with burdens being borne by Jordan as a result of hosting a massive number of Syrian refugees. In this context, the King called for additional international support to Jordan to help it grapple with this burden.
They also tackled efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and underlined the need to coordinate efforts to eradicate these phenomena.
The meeting also touched on ways to cement Jordanian-Italians relations in various domains.
