Jordan- King, Poland's President discuss bilateral relations


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) On the sidelines of his participation in the 70th Plenary Session of the United Nations General Assembly, His Majesty King Abdullah II, Monday discussed with President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, aspects of economic cooperation and trade exchange between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah, the King stressed the importance of international efforts to confront terrorism and radicalism, and the need to stand united against all forms of terrorism.

Talks between the two leaders also covered the latest Middle East developments and the repercussion of the Syrian crisis, mainly the refugee influx and the burdens borne by Jordan as a result of hosting the largest number of Syrian refugees.

His Majesty stressed the need for intensifying international efforts to help the Kingdom and other hosting countries to bear the accumulating burden of the crisis and fulfill the basic needs of the Syrian refugees.

Poland's President commended Jordan's role in bringing peace, security and stability to the region.

The meeting was also attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, and Jordan's permanent representative at the United Nations Dina Kawar.
