Iraqi FM appreciates ties with Kuwait


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari spoke highly of the sisterly ties between his country and Kuwait following his meeting with First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Al-Jaafari said in statements to KUNA that the cordial meeting reflected the amicable relations and shared interests of the two neighborly countries.
"The talks with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled reviewed the bilateral relations as well as regional issues of common interests," he said, noting that the talks proved that the two countries hold identical views on all issues.
The Iraqi minister lauded as "honorable" the Kuwaiti supportive stance towards his country, particularly after the security emergence posed by the terrorist menace of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
"The bilateral ties made headway after the signing of agreements of the settlement of compensation to Kuwait and the prevention of double taxation, he added.
