Secretaries General of Top Forums Discuss Arab Issues
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Secretaries General of the GCC Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Arab League Dr. Nabil Elaraby and Organization of Islamic Cooperation Dr. Iyad bin Amin Madani held a consultative meeting on the sidelines of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly here.
The officials discussed several issues, including rallying support for the Palestinians, the current affairs in some Arab nations, and the problem of migrant refugees and internally displaced people in the Arab region.
The meeting concluded with several recommendations. The officials decided and agreed to hold the fourth consultative meeting of the secretaries-general on the sidelines of meetings of the 27th session of the Arab League Council to be held in Morocco next March.
Secretary General of Arab Maghreb Union Dr. Habib Ben Yahia could not attend the meeting due to exigent circumstances.
