Health of 17 Palestinian Prisoners on Hunger Strike Weakens


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Health conditions of 17 Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike in Israeli jails have deteriorated considerably, chairman of the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Issa Qaraqe has said.

The condition of seven out of 17 Palestinian detainees, who have been on hunger strike over their detention without charge or trial for 40 consecutive days, has significantly deteriorated after Israeli prison administrations' refusal to transfer them to hospital for medical treatment.

He said that the prison administration placed All 17 hunger striking detainees in solitary confinement as a punitive measure and in an attempt to break their hunger strike.
