Planning minister calls for international support to Jordan
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Planning and International Cooperation Minister Imad Fakhoury called for providing soft loans to the Kingdom to enable it to achieve sustainable development.
In a statement to UN Radio, the minister urged the international community to provide soft loans to Jordan and other countries like Lebanon to achieve sustainable development and enable them to host refugees.
Fakhoury, who is taking part in the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit 2015, called on the international community to support development that has been achieved by the Kingdom over the past decades, adding that the pressure placed on Jordan as a result of the Syrian crisis threatens development gains as well as development programs and plans.
