(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Israeli occupation forces on Sunday stormed Al Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem and fired stun grenades on worshippers.
Hundreds of worshippers remained inside the mosque to confront Jewish settlers trying to storm the compound of the occasion of Sukkot, a Jewish holiday that usually leads to an increase in visits to the Al Aqsa compound.
Islamic Awqaf in occupied Jerusalem said in a statement that the occupation forces withdrew from the mosque one hour after their raid.
The occupation force claimed that the raid came after Palestinians through stones and firework on Israeli soldiers stationed near Al Magharbeh Gate.
