(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Sunday, highlighted opportunities and investment advantages the Jordanian economy has to offer in various sectors.
Speaking to a group of U.S. business leaders in a New York meeting, King Abdullah, pointed to the Kingdom's new economic legislations aimed at encouraging investment and strengthening the partnership between public and private sectors.
His Majesty reviewed Jordan's achievements in information technology, communications and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the Kingdom's ability to attract investments in new projects.
The King also underlined opportunities and investment projects in Jordan, in the sectors of energy, water, transport, infrastructure, communications, information technology and urban development. These projects were announced at the World Economic Forum held in the Dead Sea in May.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed the possibility of directing part of the U.S investments for these projects and for development and free zones in the Kingdom.
