Dubai's Topaz Energy acquires two vessels for USD115m


(MENAFN) Dubai's Topaz Energy and Marine, a subsidiary of Oman's Renaissance Services, has acquired two ships from Norwegian boat yard Vard Brattvaag in a deal valued USD115 million.

In June, the CEO of the Dubai-based oil services firm said it was in negotiations to acquire two subsea vessels as Topaz aimed to expand the division in the Atlantic basin over the next two years.

The two vessels are due to be delivered by during the second half of 2017, the Omani parent firm said. Vard Brattvaag shipyard is majority owned by Italy's Fincantieri.
