(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched a campaign to raise awareness about Shams Dubai an initiative to boost solar panel installation in the emirate.
Dewa believes that the local production of clean energy can reduce electricity bills boost a property's market value support Dubai's economy and ensure a sustainable future in the emirate. Shams Dubai initiative encourages home and building owners to instal photovoltaic panels and connect them to Dewa grid. An offset between exported and imported electricity units is conducted and the customer account is settled based on this offset.
