Israeli army kills Palestinian youth south Hebron


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A Palestinian young man was killed Tuesday dawn by Israeli soldiers south of the West Bank city of Hebron.

A statement by Dora Municipality said that Israeli troops shot dead Deya'a Abed Al-Halim Al-Talahmeh, 21, and prevented the Palestinian Red Crescent and journalists from reaching the scene.

The statement further added that the occupation troops closed the area as a military zone and transferred the body of the killed Palestinian to unknown place.

Following the incident, violent confrontations erupted in the village of Khursa between locals and Israeli soldiers, who fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs against the Palestinians.

Dozens of Palestinians suffered suffocation and were treated at the spot, while a woman and her baby were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers broke into Khursa village near Hebron and deployed snipers on the roofs of the houses.
