Omani inflation level slumps in Aug


(MENAFN) As opposed to July's numbers, Oman's inflation rate witnessed a 0.14 plunge in August, mainly driven by a 0.89 percent decline in prices of the foods and non-alcoholic beverages.

In the cited period, the Nation's CPI-based inflation dropped by 0.14 percent, on the other hand, year-on-year inflation in the same month increased slightly by 0.07 percent, as clarified by recent data.

Oil and fats Prices dropped by 0.59 percent, while milk products fell by 0.31 percent. Bread and cereals, as well as non-alcoholic drinks also registered a price fall of 0.04 percent and 0.11 percent, respectively.
