UAE- Umm Al Qaiwain Ruler orders release of prisoners to mark Eid al Adha

UMM AL QAIWAIN 22nd September 2015 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain today ordered the release of a number of prisoners from punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The pardon includes inmates sentenced to prison and those facing fines for varying penalties which have proven their good conduct. Prisoners who have been sentenced to deportation will be sent back to their home countries.

The move is part of the Umm Al Qaiwain Ruler's keenness to give prisoners a chance to begin a new life and ease the suffering of their families.
