Israeli forces arrest 24 Palestinians in Jerusalem
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Some 24 Palestinians were arrested by the Israeli forces Monday on grounds of being involved in clashes with the police at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to a Palestinian information center, there were several Palestinian minors amongst the arrestees.
Last week, Al-Aqsa Mosque was the venue for clashes between the Israeli police and Palestinians protesting an Israeli decision to impose a timetable for Jewish prayers at the holy Islamic shrine.
The Israeli government recently discussed a draft law to allow the police to use live ammunition against Palestinians protecting Al-Aqsa.
