Iran to export 35 mcm of gas daily to Iraq


(MENAFN) Iran and Iraq have settled the expansion plan for the constructing a pipeline to carry gas to the latter country.

Initially, about 25 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas will be exported daily, with different reports showing up to 35 mcm will be delivered daily, as the deal concludes.

The main destination is Basra, and transfer will start with 5mcmc/d and will reach the previous mentioned target with the completion of a gas pipeline project.

The pipeline, which is projected to make Iran an annual USD3.7 billion in revenues, will be fed by the enormous offshore South Pars Gas Field in southern Iran.
