Kuwait- KSSF Dedicates Qualification To '16 Oly To State Leadership


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Kuwait Shooting Sport Federation (KSSF) chief Duaij Al-Otaibi has dedicated the two national shooters' success to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil to the political leadership. "The KSSF dedicates this achievement to the wise leadership of Kuwait," he told KUNA upon arrival of the Kuwait shooters in International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Shotgun World Championship in Italy, which concluded Friday.

Al-Otaibi, also president of the Arab Shooting Federation, described the qualification of two Kuwaiti shooters to the Olympic Games as "a remarkable achievement for Arab shooting sport." Shooter Hamad Al-Afasi was qualified for the Olympic Games in Brazil 2016 after his participation in the ISSF Shotgun World Championship. Al-Afasi was able to win third place in the Double Trap tourney for Men, after a fierce competition and close action from Australian James Willett.

Shooter Khaled Al-Mudhaf was also qualified for Olympic Games after winning the bronze medal in the ISSF Shotgun World Championship in Men's Trap competition.
