Government departments and institutions in Dubai will also remain open during the mourning period. National flags at government institutions will fly at half-mast the Dubai Ruler's Court announced. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai posted on its Twitter handle: "Schools will remain open tomorrow. May Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed's soul rest in peace." When news broke of 34-year-old Shaikh Rashid's death the KHDA tweeted: "We are devastated about the loss of Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed. May his soul rest in peace."
