(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Ooredoo has hosted an event for leading healthcare companies, showcasing a range of smart solutions that could transform the health sector in Qatar.
Around 30 private healthcare providers were present at the event, which included an in-depth demonstration of the new CloudClinik service from Ooredoo.
"CloudClinik is a cloud-based Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management solution that takes care of everything - from walk-in or online patient registration to appointment tracking and insurance claim generation, all while ensuring iron-clad security of patient data," according to a statement.
This solution is a "first of its kind" in Qatar, and has been designed for general and dental practices, as well as other healthcare providers, to realise new efficiencies in their businesses, and crucially, enhance the patient experience, the statement adds.
Waleed al-Sayed, Ooredoo chief operating officer, said: "Ooredoo is introducing a range of new smart solutions for key industries in Qatar, made possible by the power and capabilities of the Ooredoo Supernet. Our new range of smart services for healthcare, such as CloudClinik, has the potential to transform the way that patient data is managed in Qatar and ensure better delivery for all."
Syed Abid Ali, CloudClinik chief commercial officer, added: "Our solution, in collaboration with Ooredoo, is all set to enable healthcare providers to achieve the Supreme Council of Health's vision on developing smart healthcare facilities in Qatar. Besides achieving compliance, CloudClinik helps medical centres to optimise their clinical workflow, which will increase overall efficiency of their healthcare business."
Feedback from participating organisations was "highly positive", and Ooredoo is providing each organisation with a trial of the solution to enable them to measure how it impacts their businesses, the statement notes.
Hosted in one of Ooredoo's Qatar Data Centres, CloudClinik provides a dedicated connection for the companies that deploy it.
Built under the guidance of renowned medical specialists, CloudClinik delivers a "superior web experience" to help doctors optimise their efficiency and profitability. Key features of CloudClinik include e-prescription, appointment tracking via SMS and email, and customisable templates and order-sets.
