Qatar Friendship Fund,Tunisian Solidarity Bank Ink Partnership Agreement


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF) and Tunisian Solidarity Bank (BTS) Wednesday singed a 17 million Tunisian Dinar- for partnership agreement, with 15 million Dinar of it for financing 1000 small projects.

The agreement was signed by QFF president and Qatar's Ambassador to Tunisia HE Abdullah bin Nasser Al Humaidi and BTS Direction General Mohamed Kaanech. It includes an amount of TD 1.3 million in form of technical assistance to BTS.

The partnership agreement will enable QFF to positively in the internal bodies of Tunisia to help young people, in two phases. The value of first phase of 6 months is TD 2.8 million and it is dedicated to financing 150 small projects and 50 micro businesses, while the second phase with the value of TD 14.2 is for financing 1000 small projects and 300 micro businesses in addition to creating 6500 jobs.

HE Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Humaidi expressed pleasure for expanding QFF partners circle and establishing this partnership with the BTS.

Since its official inception in May 2013 QFF has been working with its partners, to boost domestic investment in Tunisia through the expansion and development of entrepreneurship system, Ambassador Al Humaidi said adding that it was able to finance more than 1000 small and medium enterprises in 24 province, it has also worked to create more than 5,000 jobs. He stressed that QFF seeks to provide facilities and support for the Tunisian youth to establish their own projects.
