Qatar- Ashghal to test fire fighting systems


(MENAFN- The Peninsula)DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will test the fire-fighting systems of the Hamad Medical City Fit-Out project today.

Visitors to the area and passers-by will notice gases rising from the building during the tests but there is no need for concern said Ashghal. Tests and examinations will include generating and pumping harmless smoke similar to the black smoke that rises during a fire.

The tests aim to examine the fire-fighting systems smoke detectors and smoke suction systems that take the smoke outside the building. Tests and examinations will take place from 8am to noon at the project location and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital.
