UAE martyrs: Condolences come in from far and wide


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)Not only nationals and residents from across the country but citizens from other gulf countries also gathered in the various emirates to offer condolences to the grieving families of the 53 Emirati martyrs killed in Yemen.

They visited the seven emirates to share mournful moments and comfort the families.

While many visited from Saudi Arabia Bahrain Kuwait Oman and Qatar others paid condolences over the phone and on social media in an exceptional atmosphere of solidarity.

Ahmed Al Serafi from Saudi Arabia told Khaleej Times that he could not help but fly to the UAE to comfort the families of the heroes. "We have lost martyrs in Saudi Arabia too but I do want to be here and stand by martyrs' relatives."

"We are brothers and share the same religion language land history culture and blood" said Jasim Al Aseeri from Bahrain. "This is the right time to comfort and stand by each other."

Naser Al Awad Kuwaiti said he drove all the way from Al Jahra province in Kuwait to offer his condolences.

"This is the least we can do. We should all stand hand in hand in the face of terrorism and aggression."

Nasser Ali uncle of UAE martyr Ali Hassan Al Balochi of Al Dheit South area in Ras Al Khaimah said they received several telephone calls from citizens of other gulf countries offering condolences. "The GCC people shall always remain one heart and soul."

Khalid Jasim Ali Al Balochi the 36-year-old brother of 24-year-old martyr Sulaiman Jassim Ali Al Balochi said though he is sad for losing him but is proud of his sacrifice and happy about the so many people who offered condolences from across the country and Gulf States.
