(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)While most Federal National Council (FNC) candidates are busy promoting their electoral programmes Naema Abdullah Al Sharhan from Ras Al Khaimah has dedicated her first campaign to UAE martyrs.

The session saw an overwhelming attendance from female fans and supporters who expressed their appreciation for the FNC candidate (697) due to her sense of dedication and loyalty to the nation and martyred heroes.

"This is the time to stick together and turn our pains and sadness into real power for achievement and progress in the service of our beloved national and prudent leaders" Al Sharhan said.

Voters should be aware that voting is a big responsibility and hence think well before casting their votes she added.

"The priceless sacrifice of Emirati martyrs shows that some nationals serve the country with their blood. And at least we should vote for the best of the best."

The unique electoral session run in Al Dheit South area was mostly dedicated for remembering the sacrifice of the 52 Emirati soldiers martyred in Yemen particularly those of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

"The UAE people have set the highest examples of commitment patience and glory while suffering the dilemma of the Emirati heroes recently martyred in Yemen" she pointed out. "The UAE leadership and people shall remain one body and soul in the face of crises."

Al Sharhan said her electoral programme consists of nine main pillars on top of which is the development of the education sector. "Though the education system has developed significantly the challenges are big resulting in a reverse impact on both students and teachers who fall under too much pressure." Al Sharhan said Emirati women should be given more attention and have their needs met in line with the refined position they have grown to owing to the leadership's support in all walks of life.

"Women's concerns on the amendment of the pension law and their social status should be taken into consideration in view of their proposals and complaints."

Al Sharhan said mass media plays a critical role in reflecting the true image of the society.

"The ever-developing mass media and new media should all be taken into account and better streamlined to protect people' privacy and make best use of them."
