Iran's President to Visit France in November

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has accepted France's invitation to visit Paris in November, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Tuesday.

It will be the first visit made to France by an Iranian president since 1999. French news agency AFP reported today that Valls told the parliament that French President Hollande will host Rouhani to discuss a political resolution to the crisis in Syria. .

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius extended the invitation to Rouhani in July when he made a short trip to Tehran on the back of an agreement reached between the 5+1 and Iran over the latter's nuclear program. A French economic and trade delegation is due to visit Tehran next week.
