Policemen Killed in PKK Attacks in Turkey


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Three police officers were killed and another wounded in a roadside bomb attack in Turkey's southeastern province of Mardin on Tuesday night, security sources said.

The improvised explosive device, which was planted by the PKK organization, went off as an armoured police vehicle was passing by.

Earlier, two Turkish police officers were killed in an attack in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari, local officials said.

Also on Tuesday, two Turkish police officers were killed and two others wounded in a blast carried out by PKK group in Hakkari, local authorities said.

An explosive device had targeted a police vehicle on the Hakkari-Van Highway.

An operation was launched in the area to nab the suspects involved in the incident.
