Kurdistan region in Iraq celebrates grapes Festival


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Dohuk city, located in the northern Iraqi Kurdistan region is celebrating the annual Grapes Festival as the region is famous for being the main exporter of various kinds of top quality grapes.
Kurdistan produces more than 80 out of 180 kinds of grapes in the region, while Dohuk city only produces around 35 top quality kinds of grapes with more than 30 tons annually.
There are a variety of grapes that are produced by the region including Taefee, Kamali, Bae-Dank (seedless), besides many others.
