Turkish security forces arrest 13 PKK militants in Istanbul

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Turkish counter-terrorism teams conducted a number of incursion campaigns in various parts of the capital, Istanbul, striking 23 locations of the PKK, arresting 13 people and confiscating weapons and documents.
Anadolu News Agency said that the Turkish forces earlier launched break-ins against the terrorist PKK elements in Istanbul and Mersin by the end of last month with the cooperation of special and rapid intervention forces, arresting a large number of suspects.
Such operations are part of an all-out operation launched by the local security forces in various parts of the country following a number of terrorist attacks that struck the country killing a number of citizens and security officers.
