Russia Brazil poised to discuss boosting bilateral cooperation Wednesday

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Brazilian Vice President Michel Miguel Elias Temer Lulia will discuss further development of economic scientific and military cooperation.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Brazilian Vice President Michel Miguel Elias Temer Lulia will discuss collaborative work to strengthen their countries' bilateral partnership in a number of spheres on Wednesday according to a statement by the Russian government's press service.
"During the meeting [the sides] are expected to look at specific measures for further development of bilateral cooperation in trade economic investment military technical energy aerospace agro-industrial science and cultural and humanitarian spheres" the statement said.
The officials will hold the seventh high-level Russian-Brazilian cooperation committee meeting on Wednesday in Moscow. Ministers from both countries will participate in the meeting also. After the meeting Medvedev and Temer are expected to sign a joint statement.
The last bilateral cooperation committee meeting took place in February 2013 in the Brazilian capital city Brasilia.
Russia and Brazil are both members of the BRICS group of five major developing economies.
Moscow stepped up cooperation with Latin America and BRICS countries in light of deterioration in Russia’s relations with the West.
Russia and Brazil have boosted agricultural trade and are currently discussing cooperation in the sphere of nuclear energy.
