(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The 13th Meeting of the GCC Heads of Capital Markets Authorities' Committee kicked off here Monday under chairmanship of Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).
The one-day meeting discussed a number of topics related to the latest development of the GCC capital markets , which aims to enhance cooperation and support links between regulatory Authorities on financial markets.
In his keynote speech at the opening session, Nasser Ahmed Al Shaibi, CEO of Qatar Financial Markets Authority said that the financial markets development and strengthening of our competitiveness is considering as a joint strategic target that the GCC financial markets bodies seek to achieve it, which requires more effort will be exerted by the capital markets in the GCC countries.
