Japan stocks higher at close of trade Nikkei 225 up 0.34%


(MENAFN- FxPro) Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Fishery, Food and Rubber sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 rose 0.34%.

The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Nisshin Seifun Group Inc. (TOKYO:2002), which rose 4.69% or 73.0 points to trade at 1628.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Nichirei Corp. (TOKYO:2871) added 4.19% or 28.0 points to end at 696.0 and Marui Group Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:8252) was up 3.62% or 51.0 points to 1458.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nitto Boseki Co., Ltd.

(TOKYO:3110), which fell 6.95% or 28.0 points to trade at 375.0 at the close. KDDI Corp. (TOKYO:9433) declined 5.69% or 157.0 points to end at 2603.5 and Ebara Corp. (TOKYO:6361) was down 4.00% or 19.0 points to 456.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 993 to 883.

The Nikkei Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 4.32% to 31.92.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.36% or 0.16 to $44.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.03% or 0.01 to hit $47.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.40 to trade at $1107.30 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY was down 0.48% to 119.66, while EUR/JPY fell 0.67% to 135.14.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.50.
