Jordan- Lower House slams repeated Israeli storming of Aqsa Mosque


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Lower House, Monday, "utterly" condemned as gross violation, the repeated assaults of Israeli forces on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the last of which the bursting into the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza by "herds" of Israeli troops.

In a statement , the House said the "arrogant" acts being exercised by the Israeli occupation authorities are "highly censured whatever the rationale " behind these, describing the Israeli attempts to change the status quo of the Al-Aqsa as "desperate attempts" that will "unmask" Zionists violations of international norms and conventions.

Jordan will firmly counter all attempts targeting the city's holy sanctities, stemming from the Hashemite custodianship of Jerusalem's sacred places, said the statement.

The House called on various regional and international parliamentary bodies to assume their responsibility and force Israel to respect international conventions and humanitarian and religious laws.

It also praised the Palestinians steadfastness in the face of Israel's repeated "brutal aggression and arrogance", and called on the government to respond to these attacks and to expose Israeli policies to the international community.
