Airbus to sell 100 helicopters to Chinese leasing firm

(MENAFN) China based Minsheng International Financial Leasing Corp. Ltd. intends to purchase 100 Airbus helicopters in the following five years, with the first 10 to be provided in the next year.

The deal consists of buying 100 Ecureuil-series rotorcraft, H125 and H130, from the Airbus Helicopters, and the leasing firm plans to offer these light single-engine helicopters to operators together with financing solutions.

Airbus Helicopters is a subsidiary of Airbus Group. Flying more than 3 million flight hours per year, the firm's in-service fleet contains around 12,000 helicopters operated by more than 3,000 customers in 152 countries.

"Helicopters are in need to accelerate infrastructural development and meet social demands including medical airlift services and passenger transport," said the Chairman of the Chinese leasing company.
