Qatar- QF, Siemens Collaborate for Internship Programme

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) entered into an agreement with Siemens WLL Qatar on Sunday that will see specially-selected QF staff members participate in a comprehensive training programme.

The initiative, entitled 'Qatar Foundation and Siemens Talent Training Program' is evidence of the two organisations' joint efforts in unlocking potential by investing in human capital. In doing so, the partnership is also helping to fulfil the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV2030) of transforming Qatar into a knowledge-based economy, while fostering an advanced, prosperous society.

The agreement was signed by Fahad Al Qahtani, Group Executive Director of Qatar Foundation, and Abdurrahman Fatih Sakiz, Chief Executive Officer, Siemens WLL Qatar, said QF in a statement today.

"We are delighted to be collaborating with Siemens for this innovative and comprehensive internship programme," said Fahad Al Qahtani, commenting on the agreement. "We believe that people are our greatest asset, and with this programme, our employees are set to greatly benefit from an exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices. The initiative itself also reflects our on-going dedication to unlocking human potential at every level. And by serving as a platform for this process, we are continuing to support Qatar's National Vision, and its goal of propelling this country to success." Abdurrahman Fatih Sakiz said: "I am very pleased by our collaborative training approach as it is an important step towards Siemens' aspiration to contribute to the development of the people of Qatar. The employees involved will greatly benefit from this knowledge exchange." The 'Qatar Foundation and Siemens Talent Training Program' is the latest initiative to be created by the organisations. Both Qatar Foundation and Siemens are already collaborating on QF's ground-break Tram System, and are working together to transform QF's flagship development, Education City, into an environmentally-friendly 'smart-city'. Siemens is set to provide a total of 19 trams altogether, with the first batch arriving in Doha last month.
