(MENAFN- Arab Times) None of the incumbent lawmakers is involved in the Abdally terrorist cell case and the entire National Assembly has expressed satisfaction over the security measures taken by the government in dealing with the case, says Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al- Ghanim. Al-Ghanim made the statement in a press conference after presiding over the parliament- government meeting on Sunday in the presence of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al- Mubarak Al-Hamad Al- Sabah, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al- Mubarak Al-Sabah, Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Information Minister and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Sabah Salem Al- Humoud Al-Sabah, Minister of Oil and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr Ali Al-Omair, Minister of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yacoub Al-Sane, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Khaled Al-Jarallah and 26 MPs. Describing the meeting as "frank and clear", Al-Ghanim revealed they tackled repercussions of the terrorist cell case and the lawmakers raised a number of questions on the issue.
He confirmed all the MPs present at the meeting expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the Interior Ministry in facing security challenges and ensuring public safety. He said the lawmakers and government members have agreed on imposing harsh penalties on anyone proven to have betrayed his country or involved in terrorist activities.
He also stressed the need for everyone to focus on this delicate and challenging stage in order to "steer the ship towards safety and the people should be united in facing challenges for the country to remain stable." He added the

Meanwhile, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said the government has provided the Parliament with all the data on the Abdally terrorist cell and responded to all queries in this regard.
On the other hand, MP Abdullah Al- Turaiji submitted a number of queries to Minister of Communications and State Minister for Municipality Affairs Essa Al-Kandari regarding the alleged docking of two Iranian ships at Shuwaikh Port even if they were prohibited from entering Kuwait's territorial waters.
He asked the minister to clarify the report published in a local newspaper that the ships were used in suspicious activities under the cover of a local company. He wants to know the types of these ships and functions, while inquiring if the ministry dealt with other prohibited companies in the past. If yes, he asked for their names and other pertinent information.
Also, MP Mohammed Al-Anazi has forwarded questions on the same issue to Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid. He asked if the ministry has been informed about the docking of the ships, measures taken in this regard and reasons behind the decision to ban the ships from navigating through Kuwait's territorial waters. He demanded for copies of correspondences between the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Communications about the issue
