40 Abu Dhabi farm owners warned over 'poor look' of walls


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)As many as 10 farm owners were issued tickets and 30 served notices for not maintaining boundary walls in Al Shahama Municipal Centre according to the Abu Dhabi City Municipality.

The municipality has carried out an inspection campaign at the Al Shahama Municipal Centre to educate farm owners about the importance of revamping boundary walls to meet the standards of health safety and environment in line with conditions set for maintaining the appearance of the city.

The ongoing campaign launched last June is part of the municipality's efforts towards ensuring a civilised appearance of cities. All farms within the realms of Al Shahama Municipal Centre will be covered in the inspection and the initial phase has covered farms besides the motorway of Shahama.

The objective of the campaign is to replace old boundary walls marring the appearance of the city with new ones conforming to requirements stipulated by the municipality.

The municipality expects that community members will cooperate with the municipality and other bodies concerned to enhance the appearance of cities ensure a healthy environment in all residential agricultural recreational and service facilities.
