Qatar- Fire safety training for Quality Retail Group staff

Doha: Quality Retail Group organised a fire and safety programme for staff with the help of Qatar Civil Defence’s Fire and Safety Department.

More than 200 staff underwent a comprehensive class room and on-field fire and safety training aimed at the safety of customers.

The training teaches a disciplined approach and keeping one’s cool in times of emergency. The training helped staff understand how they can safely guide customers to safer places by following proper procedures during emergency. The staff were also trained in field firefighting with different types of fire extinguishers. The training programme was planned and executed by the Learning and Development of Quality Group with expertise from Civil Defence Fire and Safety Department. Chairman of Quality Group International Shamsudheen Olakara General Manager Aboo Navas and HR Manager Quality Group Arif and Learning and Development Manager Sakeer Hussain Shaikh participated in the training.

“This kind of training would be organised periodically for the staff of Quality Retail Group to keep them informed about fire and safety norms” Olakara said in a statement.
