Yemeni gov't calls Houthis, Saleh to recognize UNSC 2216 resolution


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) No talks will be held with the Houthi militias or supporters of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh until both parties recognize UNSC 2216 resolution regarding the conflict in Yemen, said a statement here Sunday.
In a statement to the press late Saturday, the Yemeni government called on the Houthis and Saleh supporters to implement the resolution or no talks will be held to resolve the crisis.
UNSC 2216 resolution demanded the end of violence in Yemen, called on all involved parties to hold constructive talks aimed ending political dispute and also bringing security back to the country.
