UAE- Dubai to host 10th session of World Retail Congress 2016

DUBAI 13th September 2015 (WAM) -- Dubai has won the honour of hosting the10th session of the World Retail Congress in 2016 one of the most important international gatherings in the retail trade industry calling it a new achievement which reflects the high international position reached by the emirate and confirming its leading economic role in the world.

The news was announced at the conclusion of the ninth session of the Congress which was held in the Italian capital Rome with the participation of a trade mission from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry DCCI chaired by Majid Saif Al Ghurair Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chamber. The delegation included Hamad Bu Amim Director-General of Dubai Chamber and a number of prominent leaders and senior figures of the retail sector in the UAE.

Al Ghurair presented the achievement as a gift to the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum considering the win a culmination of His Highness's wise vision to convert Dubai to the prospects of economic growth and prosperity and proving to investors around the world Dubai's leadership and excellence in various economic fields. He said that the10th session of the World Retail Congress in Dubai will gather the diversity of the business environment in the emirate and the leadership of retail trade in Dubai.
