Indonesian President Meets Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Indonesian President Joko Widodo met here last night with the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Ahmed Al Jubeir.

During the meeting, they discussed relations of mutual interest to the two countries.

In a press statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al Jubeir said that we have discussed the situation in the Islamic world, challenges facing it, how to deal with them and cooperate to confront them, he added, and explained to His Excellency what the region, currently, faces, either in Syria, Iraq or Yemen, in addition to Iran's intervention in the affairs of the Kingdom, importance of cooperation and consultation between the two countries, to best serve security and stability, in the Islamic world and the world, in general.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo had arrived in Jeddah on Friday on several days visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
